Cruise with us this summer on Great Slave
Lake... ..and enjoy the dinner at Hideaway Island for
your group event!
For a special evening, our three hour
dinner cruise will take you to our picturesque Hideaway
Island. The cruise from Yellowknife to our destination
will be complete with a guided commentary on Yellowknife
Bay and the surrounding area. Upon arrival, guests will
have time to explore the island or simply enjoy the
incredible view. You will then be served a delicious
meal, which may be selected from the menus listed below.
You may dine inside the dome structure set up on the
island or on the picnic tables outside to enjoy the
beautiful northern scenery. Sit back, relax and enjoy! |

This is a scenic two hour
cruise along the waterfront. The Great Slave Sightseeing
Cruise is a guided tour that will introduce you to another
perspective of Yellowknife as seen by the water.
As you cruise around the waters of Old
Town, Yellowknife Bay and Back Bay your guide will describe
the many facets of Yellowknife history, culture and
modern life. You'll see historic landmarks along the
water's edge, the Dene communities of N'dilo and Dettah,
hear the buzzing of floatplanes and gain insight into
the colorful and interesting houseboat community. From
a distance you will see Con and Giant
Gold Mines and learn the history of the frontier boom-town
that began in the 1930's with the Yellowknife Gold Rush.
Coffee, tea and cold beverages will be
available. |

Prelude to a waterfall
is a four hour road trip and Cameron Falls hiking tour.
A chance to indulge in the natural beauty that lies
just beyond Yellowknife. This is a popular tour for
visitors of all ages who wish to experience the quiet
and peaceful wilderness in our northern region.
We will travel along the Ingraham Trail,
for approximately 30km, past many lakes, rocky outcrops
and the northern boreal forest, before stopping to hike
the Panoramic Trail. This is a leisurely
hike that will take you to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking
Prelude Lake. After this, we will continue down the
Ingraham Trail to the trailhead of Cameron River Falls
Trail. During this second excursion, your guide will
interpret the area's geology, flora and fauna as you
hike to Cameron Falls.
Bring your camera, a snack and discover
the unique northern wilderness. |

The City Sightseeing Tour
is a two and a half hour tour of Yellowknife, the capital
of the Northwest Territories. This tour will take you
through Old Town, with highlights including the panoramic
view of from Pilot's Monument, the buzzing floatplanes,
the infamous Wildcat Café and a trip down Ragged
Ass Road. You will find that the oldest part of Yellowknife
buzzes with activity. In contrast, modern high rises,
shopping malls restaurants and other unique attractions
are found in Yellowknife's center.
