We are excited to welcome our guests to 'Aurora World'! Our private, isolated Aurora viewing facilities are ideally situated 30 minutes outside of Yellowknife, far enough away from the city to ensure that man-made lights do not obscure the true brilliance of the Aurora. The Aurora can be viewed in close proximity to the viewing facilities and with proper winter clothing guests can view and photograph the aurora at their leisure throughout the entire duration of their tour. Note: All Aurora viewing facilities are non-smoking.

Raven Tours' operates a Tour Desk to respond to clients questions and to book optional tours, in both English and Japanese.

Explorer Hotel Tour Desk and/or the Explorer Hotel Gift Shop is open from 09:00 to 18:00 every day during the regular aurora viewing seasons. Hours may vary during shoulder seasons. From May Until July 31st - tour inquiries may be made directly to The Explorer Hotel Gift Shop. Explorer Hotel Gift Shop employees are always happy to assist clients with any special needs when the tour desk is closed.

Aurora World Tour Desk is located at the viewing site and is open nightly during the regular aurora viewing season(s). Clients may book tours for the following day based on seat availability.

Other hotel locations according to demand throughout the different seasons.

Note: The Explorer Hotel Tour Desk provides a lost and found box for clients. Raven Tours also offers a Customer Service Department, in which the Raven Tours Customer Service Manager co-ordinates with the Tour Desk daily regarding any issues that may arise throughout the season.

Winter clothing is available for rent from Raven Tour Desk. Rental set items include:

• Full-piece insulated snow suits
• Insulated snow boots
• Mitts
• Polar Fleece Yellowknife hat for clients to keep as a souvenir
• “Winter Parka” Upgrade option

New clients can rent clothing by the day or for their entire visit. They may return clothing after their final night of Aurora viewing or before transfer to the airport for departure

Meals can be arranged at various local restaurants. This service is available for dinner and detailed menus in English and Japanese are available upon request.

Raven Tours operates mini-buses from 17 to 20 seats, 14-passenger vans and mini-vans, and buses for up to 48 passengers.
